"Archery Level One" Olympic Solidarity Technical Course was successfully completed at the Archery Training Center in Pokhara Stadium. The course was organized by the Nepal Archery Association with the cooperation of the Nepal Olympic Committee and technical assistance from the World Archery Federation. The training lasted for a week, and it was aimed at producing the best archery players through the best trainers.
The program was chaired by Mr. Nilendra Raj Shrestha, Secretary General of the Nepal Olympic Committee, said that the success of the Nepali archery game is connected with the sports technology and trainers. Mr. Dipk Raj Gurung, President of the Nepal Archery Association, said that it was a matter of pride to conduct this course after 13 years. Mr. Ramesh Siwakoti, General Secretary of Nepal Archery Association, also thanked everyone for their cooperation, stating that player's discipline is key to national and international success.
During the course, trainer Khaled Sofiane Lamande from Algeria, who was part of the World Archery Program, emphasized the importance of producing new trainers to help further develop Nepal archery. He said that he was willing to teach and learn new training techniques.
Yogendra Sherchan, the chairman of the Kaski Archery Association and member of the Regional Sports Council, also gave a speech at the event.
The course was attended by 15 people from the Nepal Army, from different areas Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim. Ten participants successfully completed the diploma.
